Another interesting thing about this show is the venue's location. Back in 2011, when Veronica was released from the hospital after her manic episode, we spent about a week at a rented condo in IB, just a few blocks down from where the concert will be held. At the time, she was still very much paranoid and delusional. The idea was to get her away from the noisy city so she could try and recover in peace and quiet. At the time we didn't realize the paranoia and delusions would just follow us and set up shop in this new location. It was a dark and terrifying period for us. At this point, I wasn't entirely convinced that she would make a recovery, let alone make music again. Slowly but surely she fought her way back, and she is just as personable and capable and talented as ever. It's incredible how resilient people can be with a little help from friends, family, love, and music. This show tomorrow will be a reminder of that for us. Hope to see you there! PS- Thank you so much to KPRI for inviting us to play! Yay for local music!
